Our homes are one of, if not, the biggest investment we make. So why wouldn’t we protect our investment? Over all the seasons we experience here in Pennsylvania, our homes are subjected to an array of nature’s unwanted gifts, such as leaves, pine needles, pollen dust, grime, moss/mildew, and algae. Overtime, these build up on the exterior of our homes. We often notice this most commonly on our windowsills, which is an indicator of the overall cleanliness of our home’s exterior.
Check out the North side of your home. Traditionally, this is the dirtiest part of your home due to the limited amount of sun it receives daily. Compare this to the other sides of your home for comparison. You may be surprised what you find.
Many homeowners have found that cleaning their homes once a year (or even every other year) is needed to keep their house looking good. Some homeowners opt to have the Northside of their home done yearly and the entire house done every other year. As the saying goes, “whatever blows your hair back”. It's fine with us. We are here to serve you.
It’s often heard from homeowners that they “didn’t think their house was that dirty” when looking at the transformation following a house wash. Some of the most profound changes can be seen in our sidewalks and patios. These flat and porous areas retain moisture, dirt, and grime, making it a fertile environment for algae to thrive. Since this doesn’t happen overnight, we get used to the way they look. Until one day, when we make a distinct effort to look at it, and say "eww gross!" Check out some of the pictures from our transformation section to see what we mean.
It's a great feeling when you see your home looking its best when it's clean and fresh, showing off the pride in your home!
Soft washing is a cleaning technique that uses low-pressure water that provides a much higher gallons per minute (GPM) rate of flow than standard homeowner power washers, to safely clean the exterior surfaces of a house. This method also uses cleaning solutions along with a surfactant to effectively kill mold, mildew, moss, bacteria, and other organic microorganisms.
We always make a concerted effort to wet down all plants, flowers, and ornamental shrubs to protect them. Plants absorb water and nutrients through the xylem: a tissue made up of thin tubes located just below the surface of the plant’s stems. The molecules in this tissue attract water molecules from the soil, so that the water is pulled upwards. This process is called capillary action. It’s similar to what happens when you drink water through a straw.
After a good drink of water, the plants are filled up and if they are exposed to some cleaning solution, they will not absorb anymore liquid.
If you have something else in need of cleaning, let us know. We are happy to take a look.
